from The Pelvic Yogi Podcast · host Aimee Bailey

Hey guys, welcome to another edition of the Nashville Women's Health Podcast. It's your host, Aimee Bailey, and I'm here by myself today. This time I just thought I would give you a little glimpse into why I created the Nashville Women's Health Podcast, where we are today and the direction that we're going. I really think it's important that every now and then y'all just hear from me and my heart. So just going back to the beginning, I had no intention of starting a podcast. But honestly, I have learned so much over the last couple of months of hosting this podcast. It has been just a dream for me to network with other providers in the area and see what all Nashville has to offer.  So I thought, you know what? Why don't I just start networking with providers, which I did, and it's really, really been great. But it's been hard because everybody's busy. We're all seeing patients or clients all day. So taking time out of anyone's day to meet for coffee, just to meet a new provider is really hard. So although I'm doing that and that works out great. Is fitting into our schedules. For the most part, I was still struggling on meeting and connecting with people. So someone approached me about a podcast and I thought, no, no way. I don't want to, talk week after week and just hear my voice. But then, we started working it out and we started saying, "how can we make those podcasts really resonate with people?" And so then it hit me. You know, my biggest struggle has been connecting with other providers. So why don't I create a podcast where I interview different providers. And that way the public can hear the heart and the passion and the theory that each provider has. And so they can see, does this provider resonate with me? Are they near me? Is it even, feasible for me to get to see them? And I thought it was a great way for me, not only to refer people to other professionals, but just to connect the community with providers in general. So it was kind of a public to providers scenario. You've really just gotten me talking to other providers and letting y'all hear what they do, where they are, and how to get in touch with them. And that's great, and I want to keep doing that, but I really want to dig deeper. As I've gotten to know other providers, I've just seen- that Nashville has a wealth of knowledge. We have educated providers, we have creative providers. We have motivated providers.  It's really been awesome for me just to get to know these providers and see how much they have to offer. We started with connection. Now we're kind of moving into collaboration. I want providers to listen to the podcast and think, Oh, you know what? That other provider has something that could help either a client of mine or could help me better get the word out about whatever is going on. I appreciate everyone who listens to this podcast and I would appreciate it if you could take the time to leave us a positive review! Please reach out to me!
