Tracy Skaggs, MSW, LSW, is the Founder and Executive Director of Project Recovery Southern Indiana. A person in long-term recovery from opioid use disorder, Tracy was delivered from heroin on March 10, 2015, through her faith in Jesus Christ. This life transformation led her to pursue higher education, and after eight years of dedication, she graduated from Spalding University with a Master of Social Work in June 2024 and became a licensed social worker. In honor of her late husband, Jeff Skaggs, who passed from a fentanyl overdose in 2021, Tracy founded Project Recovery Southern Indiana. This nonprofit is committed to serving those impacted by substance use disorders by offering harm reduction, peer support, education, and compassionate care.
