彰化是台灣中部發展較早的聚落，墾殖農業發達，也號稱是中部的穀倉，而說到彰化的農業發展，就不能忘記在彰化二水的八堡圳。二水在地的獨特慶典「二水跑水節」，就是在紀念八堡圳的開鑿哦！節目邀請到了文史工作者張碧照、張錫池帶領我們一起來認識「八堡圳與跑水節」！雖然臺灣的雨量偏多，但雨量不平均，而且坡短流急，留水不易，建造水圳就成為了開墾時的重要工程。彰化、甚至是臺灣，能夠有如此的發展，八堡圳絕對功不可沒。因為感念水資源的珍貴，同時感謝當時幫忙造圳的人們，二水的「跑水節」也成為在地具有獨特歷史意義的民俗節慶。 -- Hosting provided by SoundOn
