Christmas has always been a time of reflection for me, especially when I think about my mother, Betty. Even when life changed—when my brother and I grew up, when my father passed, and when she moved in with me—her love for Christmas remained constant. In this episode, I take you back to one of the most special Christmases we shared—the year we returned to Hillsdale, my hometown, to celebrate in her house. It was the first time my daughters experienced Christmas at Grandma’s, and true to her spirit, she made it unforgettable. I also reflect on a quiet, snowy morning years later, when I made the decision to stay home from work and spend the day decorating a Christmas tree with her—just the two of us.
