Michael Murphy of Ravenna, OH has battled fires, the dark web, his mental health, and the demons of addiction for himself and his loved ones. He had to retire from the career that had become his identity after suffering an injury, causing him to lose a part of himself and eventually break. After attending the IAFF Center of Excellence, he began his recovery journey from the traumas he had been stacking up for years.
