Dean Jewell - Episode 48Dean Jewell of Indianapolis began his addiction journey when he was just 13 years old, after having a taste of spiked punch. This led to years of daily drinking, experimenting with marijuana, and eventually stealing pain pills from his mother during her battle with cancer. His addiction didn’t slow down when he went to college, and in fact, began his journey with dealing and multiple arrests. After losing 17 jobs and living in 8 different homes, he finally found himself living with a sober, Christian man that helped him turn it all around - but it took a near death experience to start that journey. Today, Jewell is 40 years sober, married, and working in a substance abuse organization, helping those who struggle just as he had.
