PSPs will have 9 months to comply for receiving instant payments, and 18 months for sending them. ACI Worldwide’s 2024 Prime Time for Real-Time report, says by 2028, instant payments are forecast to account for 13% of all electronic payments in Europe, up from 8% in 2023. But Europe is lagging behind other regions – what’s the story and what are the challenges facing instant payment adoption around the world? Thomas Warsop, President and Chief Executive of ACI Worldwide speaks to Robin Amlôt of IBS Intelligence.
