Ep75 Derek Miller

from Faith In Your Recovery Podcast

Alcohol was the monster Derek battled. He grew up in a home where mom and dad both drank heavily. He suffered abandonment, abuse, neglect and was punished over the slightest mistakes. In high school, he found alcohol to be a coping tool. His love for it cost him the dream of becoming a Marine. He spent more than twenty-five years heavily drinking. A porch encounter with God moved him from one foot in the recovery effort and one foot int the world to being all in. His story reminds us there is always a better life waiting and how we must work to find it.
