Recently, she visited Qalang Smangus, a Atayal community in Hsinchu. And one of her realizations was that children from different ethnic groups or tribes might have very different upbringing experiences( even though we share the similar identity as "the indigenous") Recognizing these "differences" is the starting point of empathy.
