Episode 00: Mufti Azeemuddin

In the inaugural episode of WWMD, we sit down with Mufti Azeemuddin Ahmed — scholar, and founder of Masjid DarusSalam in Lombard, Illinois. Mufti Azeemuddin takes us back to a time when his parents were among the only Muslims in their county in rural Illinois, and walks us through the sacrifices they made to preserve their deen — from bringing a teacher from India to teach Quran in their living room, to sending their children halfway across the world to study. This is a conversation about what it took to build something from nothing, and why that spirit still matters today.
