Episode 027 - Has Big Tech Gone Too Far?

Once again the issue of publisher versus platform resurfaces, with the recent censoring of a New York Post Article tied to a US Presidential candidate. This has unintended consequences in our ecosystem when a platform (ie: Facebook and Twitter) behaves like a publisher, forcing the direction of a narrative based on ideologies of a few. On this weeks episode, we discuss the many dangers this has on the entire social, economic and political ecosystem. The political and social risks Big Tech platforms are bringing onto themselves is expanding at a rapid rate.  Actions like censoring articles have negative unintended consequences on the ecosystem because it only further enhances division. Some Questions to consider Is it not fair to want the ecosystem itself to clash and figure out its path forward collectively rather it being forced into a direction? Is it fair that the principles of free speech are not respected through the social platforms? Should the principles of our physical reality dynamics not be reflected in our social networks?  Seems far more optimal of our ecosystem to simply abide by the same principles in both the real world and the online world..
