Episode 027: How to Get Your Business Back on Track, With Tony Grebmeier
from The Morning Coffee Marketer
In this episode, Tony Grebmeier discusses how you can get your business back on track by focusing on what drives you, so you can get up every day and want to go to work and succeed. Key Takeaways! Grebmeier's business sells health supplements, and he got into that line of business because he likes to be able to work one on one with people and help them, and selling supplements lets him do that. He isn't focused on the amount of money that he can make, but about the number of lives he can impact. (2:36) Drainers and Drivers. Grab an 8x11 piece of paper and make two columns, one labeled Drainers and one Drivers. For 5 days, bring this paper with you everywhere you go. Anytime you do something, write it down in one of the columns, depending on what it does to your live: drains you or drives you. Whatever drainers you have, turn them into drivers or cut them out of your life, so that you can be driven and do what you do because you love it not because you feel obligated to do it. (6:28) By doing this exercise, Grebmeier discovered that he was built for sales, leads, and ideation. Whatever else he was doing he delegated to others so that they could be empowered and take ownership over the things on the list that he wasn't built to do, but that they were built to do. This made his business highly successful because people are doing what they want to do, and now show up to work driven to succeed.
