from The 30 Percent Podcast · host The 30 Percent Podcast

In todays episode, Sam and Afam get into how they've been this past week. It's been a slow news week for music on Kenya, and the boys had to get a little bit creative. They had a watch party for recent interviews. Nigerian youtuber Fisayo Fosudo sat down with Mavin Records CEO and Mo' Hits co-owner Don Jazzy to talk about his music and leadership of one of the hottest labels Africa has to offer currently. The boys dissect the interview, and talk about his rise to being an important figure for the Nigerian music scene. They then get into what makes a good artist, various ways to set yourself up for success as an artist, and the different types of geniuses in the music industry. Don Jazzy dropped plenty of gems in this interview, listen for more. Courtesy of the slow news week, a new segment was introduced, and a Nigerian man regrets attempting to set the world record for longest crying session. Also, Xenia Manasseh's album is on the way. Sam and Afam discuss that as well as her teasing a song with fellow RnB songstress, Karun. The boys also review new music that dropped last week! To bring more awareness to the different genres of music within the industry we hope to see the artists & songs discussed in the podcast receive the recognition they deserve.
