Episode 051 - Core Values
from Forged by FIRE with Ryan Rodriquez · host Ryan Rodriquez
We hear a lot about mission, vision, and values when we go to our department trainings or when a new chief shows up, but do we think of them any other time? Or do we even hear them when we aren’t sitting in these meetings? Maybe you don’t even hear them in those meetings! And if that’s the case, then there is more work that needs to be done. But I’m getting ahead of myself...before you can be a champion of your values, you first have to identify and then define what they are. If your vision is what you want to do, your mission is how you get there; but it’s your VALUES that make you unique and set you apart from the other people and organizations around you. In today’s episode, we’ll review what core values are, how to identify them within yourself and your organization, and I will give you some steps you can take in order to implement them in your daily life so that you can be the firefighter you’d want on your crew; and be the organization that people would be proud to be a part of. -- Firefighter Podcast Facebook Community 12 Days of Leadership The Advantage by Patrick Lencioni Get a Grip by Gino Wickman & Mike Paton Chick-fil-A: Who We Are
