Diplo, who is one third of the American-Jamaican Electronic music group Major Lazer, will be in Nairobi on the 20th of January and will perform alongside producer Kooldrink from South Africa, Zimbabwe's Nitefreak, Hiribae from Kenya, and other local Dj's. They then highlight two opportunities from the Goethe-Insititute Nairobi is offering to creatives, the Nafasi Co-production Fund and the Sasa Nairobi Arts Fellowship 2024-25, Sam and Afam go through the different opportunities highlighting the benefits. They then talk about the requirements for participation in each of the opportunities. Following that they talk about the 2023 Year-End Luminate music report, how they feel about some of the information and what they would love to see from upcoming reports. Spotify published some numbers following 2023s industry shaking news of limiting Income to songs with plays over 1000, Sam and Afam talk about it.
