Mavin Records was in the news this week after UMG made a move to aquire the Nigerian music label headed by Don Jazzy and Tega Oghenejobo. Sam and Afam talk about the move. They discuss what they feel are positives to the move, and how the afrobeats movement can greatly benefit from it among many other things. Additionally, they have a good conversation about the negatives that could come from this move, both arguing seperate sides. The boys then link that to what they have seen locally in the Kenyan market and how artists could make better decisions in light of that. The boys also review new music that dropped last week!
