For the first month of Season 5 we are going to talk about Cults… or Nah? We aren't here to tell you what to feel… we are simply collecting information we found on the interwebs and talking about it. We want YOU to decide this month through your own findings if you think these "groups" are acting culty or nah? First up, the first one that has been alleged to be a C U L T is $cientology. We jusssst skim the surface of this "religion" to be honest. And mostly what we have found as been rather interesting to say the least. From top Hollywood celebs, a self development "ladder" that never ends, zero privacy for members and their families, an isolat-y blackmail-y cancel culture-y type vibe wrapped up in a "saving humanity" bow. Just like most things, we truly believe this started with good intentions and pure hearts. And we truly believe most are still living in a space where they want to bring the best to the world and are truly doing what they believe is good service, but there are also some that take advantage and TAKE advantage HARD. Survivors are usually dragged, cancelled, isolated. Labelled an oppressive person. By their own family members. ALLEDGELY. Those like Leah Remini and Mike Rinder have been speaking out for years and continually getting backlash for it. But things are shaking up over there… churches are closing down. Retention rates are dropping… is this the end for them? Who will adopt Cruise next?
