Episode 108: Vicious Violation: The Murder of Maria Nemeth

Sunrise, Florida, a quiet city in the Miami metro area where Maria Nemeth and her boyfriend, Fidel Lopez, had just moved in together. It was September of 2015, and the couple had rented a new apartment at the Colonnade Residences. Maria worked as an assistant manager in the leasing office and Fidel had picked up work at a nearby truck stop. They were starting fresh, a new place, a new chapter, and on one particular night, a private celebration of their future together. But within hours, everything would change and that night would end in unimaginable horror. What happened inside that apartment was so brutal, so depraved, that even the most experienced investigators struggled to make sense of it. Maria Nemeth would never walk out of that apartment alive. This wasn’t just a crime of passion. It was something far darker.
