Episode 11 (Cybersecurity; Digital Parenting)

The social topic to be discussed in Episode 11 of the podcast is on Cybersecurity and themed, “Digital Parenting”. In our previous episode, we focused on how children can be victims of cybercrime, especially children who have unrestricted access to the internet. We discussed the various cyber risks children face on the internet, such as cyber-bullying, online grooming, online pornography, catfishing, privacy and identity theft, sexting, among others. We also discussed some efficient methods children can employ to safeguard themselves from digital threats. In this episode, our guest speaker Mr. Nelson Herald Darko, a Senior Manager of the Child Online Protection Division of the Cyber Security Authority of Ghana, returns to throw light on how parents and guardians can also put in measures to protect their wards from all these cyber risks when they access the internet.
