Creation Science and Teaching Students how to Defend and Keep the Faith through ScienceDr. Jay L. Wile holds an earned Ph.D. in nuclear chemistry and a B.S. in chemistry, both from the University of Rochester.  He has won several awards for excellence in teaching and has presented lectures on the topics of Nuclear Chemistry, Christian Apologetics, Homeschooling, and Creation vs. Evolution.  He is best known for his award-winning “Exploring Creation With...” series of science textbooks. Dr. Wile and his wife of more than 25 years, Kathleen, homeschooled their daughter, Dawn, from the time they adopted her until she graduated high school. Dawn is a Butler University graduate and is currently a long-haul trucker with her husband, James. As discussed, it presents science in the setting of the days of creation. There are 15 lessons for each creation day, and the lessons focus on what was created on that day. The first 15 lessons, for example, are about light. The next 15 lessons are about air and water. The next 15 lessons are about dry land and plants. You get the idea.The next book in the series is called Science in the 16th and 17th Centuries. It starts with the Scientific Revolution, which began with the publication of Copernicus’s heliocentric theory of the universe and Vesalius’s foundational work on human anatomy. Lord willing, it will be followed by two more books (I think) – Science in the 18th Century and Science in the 19th Century.
