Episode 11- Pedophiles and the Conversations People Need to Start Having About Them

from The Whormones Podcast · host Alia Janine & Jaqi Furback

For this week's episode we discuss a really difficult topic that many people do not understand, and would most likely rather not- pedophilia and pedophiles. This episode is a bit longer because we veered off topic a few times. It's a hard subject to have to research, let alone talk about. But, that is where the problem is. Nobody really wants to talk about pedophiles. They rather lock those people up and throw away a key. Why try to understand something so disturbing that will leave you with a sick feeling in your stomach? But, if something someone does is so sinister it makes you want to vomit, shouldn't you want to figure out why they do it, and prevent them doing it? We talk about current events involving pedophiles, including Jarred Fogle and Josh Duggar. We discuss the different communities, and how there are different types of pedophiles. We bring up the point that pedophilia is a mental disorder and not a choice. How the only studies done are on people who have already offended. We discuss the "deep web" and the very scary facts: 1) 80% of the dark web is used for child pornography, 2) in 2009 child pornography and child sex trafficking was a $20BILLION industry 3) in 2009 the adult film industry was a $13BILLION industry. We also bring up a story about a "family" of pedophiles that will surely make you want to lock your family in the house and never let them leave. As we said, this is a hard subject to talk about, but it has to be done. People need to start trying to help pedophiles from offending. People need to start taking preventive measures. About the Whormones Podcast  The Whormones podcast is an anti-feminist, feminist podcast where two completely different points of view of sexuality, feminism, and life are discussed. The politically incorrect humor and witty banter featuring Alia Janine’s wilder and more sexually experienced interpretations, and Jaqi Furback’s biting and more conservative demeanor makes these two the modern day odd couple.
