Episode 11: Running with wings

from Cultra Trail Running · host Art Byram

Caitlin Rossi shares with us her life story of how she became more than just an ultra runner.  Ultra runners are known for their acts of kindness.   Caitlin grew up in a caring home, where taking strangers into their life was the norm. She then transferred this culture of kindness and caring into her adult life, and brought it to the running community, and we have chance to dig into that during  this interview. The CULTRA trail running podcast is a place where we can get together and discuss all the fun stuff that happens on the trails, that most normal people don't care about. CULTRA's headquarters is located in the belly of the beast coast, Glastonbury Connecticut, so most of our stories involve North East Trail running or North East Trail runners .  The language used in this show is not really too bad, unless you have an aversion to monkeys. Silk City Striders in an RRCA running club located in Manchester CT.  They are a great group of folks and have regular races, and group runs on trails and roads.  Definitely check them out:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/SilkCityStriders/ We appreciate our listeners who have supported us through small monthly donations.  If you wish to contribute and be one of the Cultra OG, please consider becoming a Patron supporter through Patreon.  Thank you so much for listening, we are having huge fun and appreciate the great love you all have shown us! Guests will include both former and current believers in a variety of conspiracy theories, as well as debunkers, skeptics, and the investigators of those theories. I’m Mick West, a debunker. I wrote the book Escaping the Rabbit Hole – How to Debunk Conspiracy Theories using Facts, Logic, and Respect. This book came from my experiences running Metabunk – a debunking forum. Over the years I realized simply presenting corrections to people is not enough. We need effective communication, and we can’t do that if we don’t listen to and talk with each other. I’m hoping this podcast will help bridge that gap. Explicit Nerd on the Street Kaori Akari and Jason Rayn Welcome to our block! Explicit Running In Slow Motion with Sidney & Tamra Smith You Hear Good Things podcast network Comedian Sidney Smith and his wife Tamra — a sharp-witted educator with a soft spot for flowers — team up to navigate life, goals, and culture at their own hilarious, at times, in-depth pace. They call it “running in slow motion,” and that pretty much sums up the vibe. This isn’t a marriage podcast (their union ranks a generous 5 out of 10, after all), but it is a refreshingly honest, smart, and funny take on relationships, ambition, and everyday chaos. From real talk to pop culture and unexpected interviews, it’s a joyride of relatable moments and laugh-out-loud observations. Explicit
