This caps of a crazy few weeks for Matsuyama who won the bronze medal in Paris and was robbed on his way to Memphis. Jose Luis Ballester won the U.S. Amateur Championship at Hazeltine National. The Spaniard from Arizona State used great ball striking to beat Noah Kent from the University of Iowa on a difficult Hazeltine National Golf Course.
