Jessica talks about growing up in Louisiana and discovering her love of beer not only through her dad, but a job she took while living in Washington, D.C. That interest led her to beer school (yes, that's a thing) and something a little unexpected -- an opportunity at one of her favorite breweries in Bend. She talks about the work that goes into making some of the most popular and best beer in the world, the challenges the Deschutes crew has faced in the pandemic, the company's philosophy behind the suds, and some of the faux pas that have happened in the brewery.
