Episode 122 BC is BS

from The Be Real Babe Podcast · host Brandi Marie

In this next month we will be discussing issues in Big Pharma. Or ones we have at least ;) Starting with birth control. This isn’t the first nor will it be the last time we touch on this subject because it’s so dark and spreads so wide. Please keep in mind that we respect your decisions with your body and you know what’s best for you. We just want you to always be informed about things you may not be, like we weren’t. We had no idea that this pill was experimented on on the women of Puerto Rico in the early RJ mid 90s and that they had no idea what they were getting into. Our hearts broke listening to stories of these women who thought they were doing the right thing because at the time the alternative was sterilization. Wtf? We also had no idea of the side effects and the many people profiting off of it too. We all agree there are positives and negatives to everything. But what’s the real bad part is no informed consent and hidden history. Why was this stuff so hard to find? Is it because it was attached to people who are celebrated when they shouldn’t be? Is it because there’s deeper meanings behind birth control then women’s health like we are all lead to believe? We know what we think. You look into it and let us know how you feel about it!
