This camp was intended to be a two-week adventure filled with fun for over 100 Girl Scouts who had arrived at Camp Scott, near Locust Grove, Oklahoma, on June 12, 1977. However, under the cover of night, an intruder broke into a tent, committing the brutal murder and sexual assault of three young girls — Lori Farmer, 8, Michele Guse, 9, and Denise Milner, 10. Their strangled and mutilated bodies were discovered beneath a tree approximately 100 yards from their tent..
