The Patriots released him immediately. Convicted in 2015, he received life without parole. While imprisoned, he was tried and acquitted for a 2012 double homicide. Five days later, he was found dead in his cell, ruled a suicide. His murder conviction was briefly vacated posthumously but later reinstated. A posthumous diagnosis of CTE fueled debate about its role in his actions.

Created in 1952, it earned National Historic Landmark status in 1964 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. The park preserves the remains of an ancient Mississippian settlement that thrived from roughly the 10th through the 13th centuries. Its inhabitants built impressive earthwork mounds for ceremonies, political gatherings, and burial rites. Aztalan was one among many key Mississippian centers dotting the Mississippi Valley; its people took part in a vast trade network extending from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast and the southeastern United States.

Earlier that night he had stopped by his office to fetch an umbrella and prepare for his shift the next day. Security cameras recorded him entering and leaving the building, including a brief conversation with an unidentified man dressed all in black. Deely was next seen on CCTV outside an AIB bank on Haddington Road as he continued on foot toward his apartment in Ballsbridge— this remains his last known image. Despite extensive Garda investigations, no trace of him has ever been found.

All confirmed victims—a pair of 12-year-old girls and two boys aged 11 and 12— were last seen with a man described as a young to middle-aged white male, with a defined jawline, prominent nose, long dark hair, and a demeanor that made children feel safe. Each child was abducted, held captive, then either strangled or shot before his or her body was left in a publicly visible spot near roadways. At the time, the ensuing murder investigation became the largest in U.S. history, drawing round-the-clock coverage from Detroit’ s newspapers, radio, and television stations. In 1977, a WXYT radio documentary titled “ Winter’ s Fear: The Children, the Killer, the Search” won a Peabody Award for its reporting on the case

On November 2, 2025, Anna had stepped onto the gleaming white deck in Miami, Florida, with her family—her father Christopher Kepner, her spirited stepmother Shauntel Hudson, doting grandparents, a lively sixteen-year-old stepbrother, and a curious nine-year-old stepsister. Their six-night voyage promised sun-drenched days in George Town, Grand Cayman; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; and Cozumel, Mexico. Anna, a proud cheerleader at Temple Christian School in Titusville, Florida, laughed easily as she unpacked her bright swimsuits and face-paint kits, sharing a cabin with her stepbrother as they had always been so close, her grandparents often reminded anyone who’d listen.

At its heart sits a doll evoking an African American woman, encircled by ceremonial objects— feathers, beads and small spheres that stand in for the planets. Strands of hair dangle beneath the box’s base, a nod to hoodoo and other healing customs. Along the top rim three carved eyes appear, recalling the “ third eye” of inner vision in many spiritual systems. Its title points directly to African American ritual practice and the ways memory, lineage and spirituality inform artistic creation.

Between roughly 1590 and 1610 she and four of her servants were accused of torturing and killing hundreds of girls and young women. Ultimately, Bathory and her servants faced eighty counts of murder. While her servants were executed after conviction, Elizabeth herself was confined to Csejte Castle (now Čachtice, Slovakia), where she remained imprisoned until her death in 1614.

For generations it’s been wrapped in local lore: a perfect circle roughly 40 feet across where nothing will grow and anything left inside overnight vanishes. Legend says the Devil himself “tramps” this barren ring, pacing in endless circles as he plots new ways to unleash evil.

Over that period he abducted, raped and murdered at least seventeen women, releasing many into the Alaskan wilderness only to hunt them down with a Ruger Mini-14 rifle and hunting knives. Convicted in 1983, he received a 461-year sentence without parole and died of natural causes in custody at age 75.

During the same crime spree, he abducted Herrmann’s 13-year-old daughter, Sarah Maynard, who ultimately survived and later recounted the horrors she endured.

Bodey volunteered for the dangerous journey back to Monoville for provisions, but nature had other plans. A sudden blizzard descended, claiming his life before he could reap the rewards of discovery. When his companions later established a camp in his memory, a sign painter's error transformed " Bodey" into "Bodie" – an accidental rechristening that endured through the decades that followed.

Their cars, purses, and other personal items remained inside; the only sign of disturbance was a shattered porch- light globe. An answering-machine message that investigators later deemed potentially important was accidentally erased after being played once.

His tales form the cornerstone of the medieval literary corpus called the Matter of Britain.Welsh chronicles portray Arthur leading post-Roman British forces against Anglo-Saxon invaders around the late 5th and early 6th centuries. Though mentioned in the Annales Cambriae and Historia Brittonum, these accounts emerged three centuries after his purported lifetime, leading most period historians to question his historical existence. Early Welsh poetry like Y Gododdin also references him. Through Welsh mythological evolution, Arthur emerged either as Britain's stalwart defender against mortal and supernatural threats or as a mystical folkloric figure, sometimes connected to Annwn, the Welsh otherworld.

When he decides to go inside, he finds Kathleen at the bottom of the stairs and calls 911. Michael Peterson called 911 at 2:40 a.m. to report that his wife had fallen down 15-20 steps.

By August 11, 2009, the air in Antigo held a hot, muggy hush as the sun dipped toward the horizon. Fifteen-year- old Kayla climbed into a friend’ s car just after dusk, hoping to see her on-again, off-again boyfriend. She never came home. That evening, after a brief stop at the McDonald’ s on 5th Avenue— where the golden glow of the menu board reflected in her curious eyes— Kayla was driven to a vacant, half-renovated house in Wausau. No one saw her leave, and no trace of her has been found since. Fourteen years— and counting—of tireless searches, interviews, and dead ends have left her family and investigators without answers. The case remains open, the mystery unsolved.

The early summer dawn at Lake Bodom was deceptively tranquil: mist curled above the dark water, frogs croaked in the reeds, and pale birch trunks gleamed silver in the pre-sunshine haze. Yet in the small clearing near Espoo’s Oittaa Manor, the placid surface concealed a horror that would haunt Finland for decades. On the night of 4 June 1960, Maila Irmeli Björklund, fifteen, and her friend Anja Tuulikki Mäki, also fifteen, pitched a small canvas tent beside the lake’ s pebbled shore. Joining them were their boyfriends, eighteen-year-olds Seppo Boisman and Nils Gustafsson, laughing and passing around cigarettes as they settled down to sleep under a vault of sparkling stars.

In the modest Moore house, six members of the well-liked Moore family—Josiah B. (43), his wife Sarah (39), and their children Herman (11), Mary Katherine (10), Arthur (7), and Paul (5)—along with their two young guests, Ina Mae Stillinger (8) and Lena Gertrude Stillinger (11), lay dead, each skull shattered by the same heavy axe. By dawn, investigators would stand in stunned silence before the scene: eight bodies arranged in their beds, the killer’s weapon still smeared with blood, and every mirror in the home draped in cloth as though to ward off prying eyes or restless spirits.

Joshua “Josh” Maddux was born March 9, 1990, to Mike and Roberta Maddux in Woodland Park, Colorado, a town of roughly 8,000 set against the Pike National Forest. Its preserved downtown buildings and surrounding hills made it a nature lover’s haven. Josh, the fourth of five children and the family’s youngest son, was homeschooled until his parents divorced. He then attended public school while living with his father and two older sisters, Kate and Ruth, in a house nestled between town and forest. An avid hiker and wildlife watcher, Josh spent every free moment outdoors.

The victims were Iraqi-born British engineer Saad al-Hilli, 50; his wife Iqbal, 47; her mother Suhaila al-Allaf, 74, who carried a Swedish passport; and 45-year-old French cyclist Sylvain Mollier. The al-Hillis’ two daughters survived: the younger child, four, hid for eight hours under her mother in the rear footwell before forensic teams found her, while the elder, seven-year-old Zainab, suffered a shoulder and head wound and returned to the U.K. on 14 September.

Police in Cherbourg—nearly 250 miles (400 km) from the little village of Goas-al-Ludu—had reported finding a child they believed might be their lost Pauline. Newspapers seized upon every whispered detail: Le Matin claimed she’d been abandoned on a narrow lane called rue Coypel, her small frame left in the hush of dusk; two years later L’Ouest-Éclair placed her at a woman’s doorstep on rue Crespel; and as late as 2017 the magazine Ozy spun a haunting tale of a “mysterious woman dressed in rags” who bore the silent child through empty streets. Taken straight to the white-washed wards of Cherbourg’s hospital, the girl lay silent—her lips sealed against speech and tears alike.

Yet in the predawn hours of April 1, 2006, Brian vanished without a trace. Security cameras at the South Campus Gateway in downtown Columbus captured his last known moments—two brief, almost casual words exchanged with two women beside the glowing door of a second-floor bar—before he drifted out of view into the chilly spring darkness. Earlier that night, he had laughed with friends over the promise of spring break; when they eventually parted company, they assumed he was headed back home. Since that fleeting moment on camera, no one has seen or heard from him. The mystery of his disappearance, baffling investigators and gripping headlines from Columbus to Washington, still remains unsolved.

Hello Welcome back This is survived with Sophie and LexiWe started telling our survived story (in college) and we are moving on to being you guys moreThrough many different topics On the evening of 31 March 1922, six people living at Hinterkaifeck—a remote farmstead about 70 km north of Munich—were bludgeoned to death with a mattock by an unknown assailant. The victims were 63-year-old Andreas Gruber; his 72-year-old wife Cäzilia; their 35-year-old widowed daughter, Viktoria Gabriel; Viktoria’s two children, seven-year-old Cäzilia and two-year-old Josef; and their 44-year-old maid, Maria Baumgartner. After the killings, the murderer remained on the property for three days, eating the family’s food, feeding the animals, and lighting fires in the hearth. Four of the bodies were found piled in the barn, apparently lured there one by one. In the months before the massacre, family members and a former maid had heard strange noises from the attic; that maid quit, convinced the place was haunted. To this day, Hinterkaifeck remains one of Germany’s most baffling unsolved crimes.

Users rest their fingers on a small, movable indicator called a planchette . During a séance, participants lightly guide the planchette around the board to spell out messages. Although “Ouija” is a trademark owned by Hasbro , the term is widely used to describe any talking board.

The last person to see her alive was her downstairs neighbor and fellow sex worker, 35-year-old Minnie Janssen. A few evenings before Lilly’s body was found, she’d knocked on Minnie’s door twice for condoms, returning once around nine o’clock wearing only an overcoat. After that night, Lilly never emerged again.
