Professional golf came through this week for fans, giving us everything we want: a great course, great players and challenging conditions. Rory McIlroy got his PGA Tour season kicked off in dramatic fashion with a 3 stroke victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. McIlroy took angles we haven't seen before at Pebble Beach with a display of power that course has not often seen. He also showed a more conservative approach game he patterned after Scottie Scheffler on his way to victory. Are big things in store for Rory McIlroy in 2025? Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth came off injuries and were back in action. Scottie shook off the rust quickly, while Jordan Spieth really struggled in his 2025 debut. Speaking of comebacks, Ollie Schniederjans coming back from double hip replacement surgery in 2022, bested Bryson DeChambeau and Jaquin Niemann on the Asian Tour. LIV Golf kicks off their season this week in Saudi Arabia as they are under the lights for the opening of the season.
