Episode 128 : The Gourmet Club, keep it simple, and movie lady"

Trish talks to food stylist Christine Tobin about her work at Christopher Kimball's Milk Street, and the several movies she's worked on. Tobin talks about growing up in Holliston, Massachusetts and her nana, from Sicily living with the family. She says from the beginning, she was surrounded by excellent cooks and beautiful food. Her parents and the other parents who lived on the street she grew up on started a "gourmet club," where they would get together once a month and cook a feast based on a different country. When she found out that food styling was actually a "thing," she began going down that path. Now, she styles food for Milk Street, and has worked on several movies including, "Little Women," "Joy," "American Hustle," and "Labor Day," just to name a few. She also just wrapped a movie (she can't talk about it yet!) and the "Julia" series on HBO Max, which does not have a release date set. Tobin talks about being a different kind of stylist, and offers some tricks for the home cook to make their food look extra good.
