But when a ransom note appeared weeks after her capture, accompanied by a disturbing photo of Samantha, investigators were sure she was in danger. ATM withdrawals would take detectives thousands of miles away to Lufkin, Texas, where they'd arrest a killer who was more monster than man. Police weren't prepared for the psychopath they'd placed in custody, but they would soon uncover chilling horrors and resolutions to questions long unanswered.
