Friends,On 3 MAY, I presented the justification for investing in the Transportation Index.While I still believe the argument has merit, internal repositioning of the index negated the rationalization for the decision.Quietly, Airlines staged a Leadership Coup.When I saw DELTA Airlines’ CEO gloating over profits as images of stranded customers and cancelled flights were juxtaposed with his visage, I felt the Index’s rise above our initial investment was temporary and liquidated our position.Since our Victory on 30 June, the index has headed south… Sometimes, the Win isn’t from a position reaching its true Value but about Risk Mitigation and Recovering our Investment – Without Loss!Robert
