In this episode of Foodloose, I’m inviting you to hang out with me and my friend Drew Smethurst, an SFX engineer who’s spent years making crazy things happen in front of the camera. We talk about how racing old V8 cars somehow led him into the film industry, building rigs, solving seemingly impossible shots, and the good old days of shooting high-speed commercials on film. We also get into how much our industry has changed, from having days to experiment with crazy ideas to today's tight schedules and budgets.
