Episode 15- Review of the Unslut Project Documentary

from The Whormones Podcast · host Alia Janine & Jaqi Furback

Buckle up guys and gals because this is another intense and informative episode! Today we give a review of the Unslut Project Documentary that we saw in Brooklyn earlier this week. For those that not familiar with the Unslut Project, it is a project to stop slut-shaming, and to bring awareness of how harmful slut/sex shaming is to people. Unslut was founded by Emily Lindin who started posting entries of her school aged diary on Tumblr and the things she went through as a teenager. It's a place for women with similar stories of slut-shaming can go and share their stories. Produced my WWF wrestler, Mick Foley, the Unslut Documentary was able to be filmed. Foley was a phone call volunteer for RAINN, the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, he was shown what the Unslut Project was about, and he wanted to help. We talk about some personal experiences with slut-shaming and sexual assault. We also discuss the different types of slut-shaming, and how men can be sexually assaulted, too. Slut-shaming is a real thing and it does need to be talked about. The Unslut Project gives people that outlet.     Have any questions or topics that you would like us to answer, or discuss? About the Whormones Podcast  The Whormones podcast is an anti-feminist, feminist podcast where two completely different points of view of sexuality, feminism, and life are discussed. The politically incorrect humor and witty banter featuring Alia Janine’s wilder and more sexually experienced interpretations, and Jaqi Furback’s biting and more conservative demeanor makes these two the modern day odd couple.
