Lush growth out of a sad, little known landmark desegregation case. Facts: Lincoln Park elementary was segregated in 1961. Small group of families and lawyer brought the case to court in the north. Landmark case Taylor vs Board of Education. School was torn down in 1964. To make this dish, a vat is typically filled with a combination of strong black tea, lime, salt and freshly burned wood ashes, and is left to cool overnight. The next day the ingredient is added to the mixture, and they soak anywhere from seven weeks to five months.
