Celeste Ratka – Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach (Hortonville HS) Hortonville, WI Husband: Aaron Ratka Daughters: Ava (4), Edith (2), Ingrid (7 weeks) Coach Ratka has just finished her 4th season at Hortonville. Celeste and her coaching staff have gone to the State Tournament in each of their 4 years. The schools only appearance prior was in 1987. Last season the Polar Bears were ranked #1 in D2 for most of the season, and finished the year with a 25-1 record. They were heading into the State Tournament with the #1 seed before the Tournament was canceled. Her career coaching record at Hortonville is 84-21. She attended Hortonville High School and graduated in 2006. After high school she went on to play college basketball at UWGB. In 2011, she helped the program have its most successful season in its history by earning a berth to Sweet Sixteen and finishing the year ranked 9th in the country.  She also grabbed the Horizon League Co-Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year that season while also earning honorable mention All-American honors. After graduation she played overseas for LKS Lodz (Poland) and the Solna Vikings (Sweden). From 2012-2015 she served as the Video Coordinator at the University of Illinois.
