Tony Miller was named the third head coach in the Bruins men’s basketball history in August of 2025. He previously served as the Director of Basketball Operations under Coach Neal Ring and then as an assistant coach for Coach Burton Uwarow.As a member of the coaching staff, the Bruins have won 5 NCCAA South Region championships and made 6 appearances at NCCAA National Championships. Wyatt Walker enters his second season coaching the Girls Varsity Basketball at Episcopal. In his first season, the Eagles reached the regional semi-finals of the FHSAA playoffs. With notable wins over Windermere Prep, University Christian, and Father Lopez, the Eagles return the majority of their core players and are seeking to make another deep playoff run. Prior to Episcopal, Coach Walker coached the boys’ basketball team at Mill Creek Academy, where the Mustangs had back-to-back winning seasons and finished runner-up in the conference championship. He played at Providence School where he was a part of two state championship winning teams. During his high school career he never lost a home game and accumulated a 117-10 record, winning four consecutive district championships as well as four consecutive regional championships. He is Providence’s all-time leading rebounder, third leading scorer, second leading shot blocker, and was named the 2015 Florida Times-Union player of the year. He played college basketball at Samford University where he led the Southern Conference in rebounds and double-doubles. He then transferred to North Carolina State where he started for the Wolfpack for the 2019 season and was named to the 2018-2019 All ACC-Academic Team. Coach Walker was selected 25th overall in the 2019 NBA G League draft and played the 2019 season for the Utah Jazz’s G league team, the Salt Lake City Stars. EDUCATION:Stanford - 1989-93YEARS AT SAN FRANCISCO:Sept. 2016 - PresentCAREER HIGHLIGHTS AT SAN FRANCISCO:Molly Goodenbour, a two-time national champion at Stanford who has over a decade of head coaching experience on the collegiate level, was named the ninth head coach in University of San Francisco women's basketball history on Sept. 28, 2016. This is Goodenbour's third coaching stint on the Hilltop, where she served as an assistant coach with the Dons during the 1994-95 and 2005-06 seasons.In 2023-24, Goodenbour led San Francisco to a second-half resurgence as the team finished in a tie for third place in the West Coast Conference standings after starting the season with a 4-9 record. The program posted double-digit victories in WCC play for the fifth time in Goodenbour's tenure as the team finished at 10-6, highlighted by season sweeps of Pacific, Saint Mary's, Pepperdine, and LMU.  San Francisco also finished the season strong, rolling eventual WCC Tournament Champions Portland on the road, earning 59-47 victory at Chiles Center.Under Goodenbour's guidance, Jasmine Gayles and Debora dos Santos earned All-WCC First Team honors. Dos Santos recorded a career season, averaging a double-double with 15.3 points and 10.6 rebounds per game while Gayles led the squad in scoring at 16.8 points per game. Gayles also recorded the second 40-point game in program history as she dropped 40 points in an 81-68 win at Pacific on January 13The 2022-23 season under the leadership of Goodenbour concluded with an overall record of 19-13. Three Dons earned All-WCC Selections while two Dons earned WCC All-Within the first six years on the Hilltop, Goodenbour posted impressive numbers, including becoming the winningest coach in USF history through 50 games (27-23), as well as through two seasons at 34-28 (.548). Goodenbour quickly built up her impressive resume at USF, becoming the first coach to post winning overall and conference records in her first two seasons on the job. Building off the program's strong start to the new decade, the Dons were once again punching a postseason ticket as they battled through a grueling non-conference schedule that kept them away from the Hilltop from Thanksgiving until after New Year's Day. Following an 0-4 start to WCC play battling through injuries and COVID-19 related pauses, the Dons went on to rattle off wins in six of their next seven games and finished with the third seed heading into the WCC Tournament. USF would go on to defeat Santa Clara in Vegas before returning home to host Air Force in the WNIT.Since the start of the 2020-21 season, Goodenbour's Dons have made consecutive WNIT appearances and won at least one game in back-to-back WCC Tournaments. Led by two-time All-WCC first team selection Ioanna Krimili, USF's 2020-21 team led the conference in total points and points per game while being a top-four program in team plus/minus. Goodenbour’s third WCC Tournament in 2019 saw her lead the Dons to a first-round victory over Portland, marking the seventh year in a row the Dons advanced beyond their opening game.Molly’s 2017-18 squad placed three WCC All-Conference and All-Academic honorees. Anna Seilund earned First-Team All-WCC and Second-Team All-WCC recipients Michaela Rakova and Kalyn Simon.She finished her first year on the Hilltop in 2016-17 with an 18-13 overall record that included an 11-7 mark in West Coast Conference play, good for a fourth-place finish, the Dons' highest since the 2002-03 season. In the process, Goodenbour became the first USF head coach since Sue Rojcewicz in 1982-83 to post a winning record in her first year at the helm and compiled the second-best record by a first-year coach in program history. He achieved all state and honorable mention all American status while playing at Mason City High School. He has won numerous Coach of the Year awards, including being named the National Federation of High Schools National Girls Basketball Coach of the Year in 2015. He was a recipient of the Morgan Wooten Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed by the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame in April 2016.In addition, he was awarded the golden plaque of distinction by the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union in March 2016, the highest coaching award given by the Iowa Coaching High School Association. He was inducted into the Iowa Girls Coaches Association State Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005 and was a finalist for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association National Coach of the Year Award in 2017.His overall record is 663 and 397. He has 11 state tournament bursts, including eight final four pinches and three state runners-up.

Head Coach Bradley Sutphin will begin his fourth season at Narrows High School and his 16 overall season coaching. Coach Sutphin has previously coached at Fort Chiswell High School, George Wythe High School, and Pulaski County High School. During his 17 years Coach Sutphin has coached Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Softball. Coach Sutphin led Pulaski County to a state quarterfinalist appearance, Region 4D Championship, Regular Season River Ridge District Champion (12-0), and was named region and district coach of the year in 2020.  In 2019, Coach Sutphin led Pulaski County to a state runner-up finish, was named VHSCA Coach of the Year and Timesland Coach of the Year. In 2012 Coach Sutphin won a VHSL Division 1 Football State Championship as an assistant coach at George Wythe High School. Coach Sutphin attended Fort Chiswell High School where he was a three sport athlete playing baseball, basketball, and football. He received his Master of Science degree from Liberty University in 2016 majoring in Athletic Administration. He received his Bachelor of Science from Bluefield College in 2005, majoring in Exercise Sport Science with a Teacher Licensure. Coach Sutphin and his wife Sarah reside in Narrows with their three sons Cooper (12), Collin (9), and Carter (5). Sarah teaches kindergarten at Narrows Elementary Middle School.

Billy TeedanCoach Teeden just finished his 10th season as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Plant City High School. He has led the Raiders to 8 regional appearances and a district championship title. Prior to coaching and teaching at Plant City, he was the Head Boys Basketball coach at East Bay High School. In six seasons, he became the all-time winningest coach in school history, while winning three district championships and had a regional final appearance.Coach Teeden has been named Hillsborough County Western Conference Coach of the Year seven times. In 2024, Coach Teeden was the FABC 7A coach of the year. In 2010, Teeden was named the William Bethel Coach of the Year, an award given to a coach who turns around a basketball program at a school that struggled in the past. Teeden has also been the head coach for the 16u Nike Team Florida AAU Team.Coach Joseph WillisCoach Willis just finished his 8th coaching season with the Plant Panthers boys’ basketball program.  During his time at Plant, the Panthers have had a overall record of 143-75. His Plant teams have won 3 straight district titles (2023, 2024, 2025) and he has been named American Division Coach of the Year the past two seasons. Willis' Plant teams have also won 2 Hillsborough County GPA titles in his time at the school. Although it was his 8th year at Plant, it is his 19th year as a head coach in the county.  Coach Willis previously coached at Bloomingdale High School and prior to that at Lennard High.  At Bloomingdale, Coach Willis guided the Bulls to their first district title since the 1996 season and first regional semi-final appearance since 1994. During that season he was named the Federal Division Coach of the Year.  Prior to coaching in the high school ranks, Coach Willis spent time coaching collegiately at High Point University (2003-04), Saint Leo University (2001-03) and the University of South Florida (1996-2001). Coach Willis played one year of college basketball at Webber College (now Webber International University) and through his high school basketball experience at East Lake HS, he earned All-Pinellas County Honorable Mention his senior year.  Coach Willis earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of South Florida in 2000 and his graduate degree in Educational Leadership at Saint Leo University.  He lives with his wife Ellen, and daughters Maggie and Elise.

Coach Earnhardt came to Rabun Gap after serving as head girls coach at Asheville School for seven seasons and coaching boys basketball in Florida. He is in his 17th year of coaching basketball at Rabun Gap.In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Earnhardt serves as Rabun Gap’s Athletic Director and started the football program in 2009.He’s led the Rabun Gap girls basketball program to new heights during his tenure as head coach. His teams have experienced much success in the NCISAA over the past 10 years, including state playoff berths in each of the past 12 seasons, eight consecutive Final Fours appearances, and three state championship games. Five Lady Eagles have earned Division 1 scholarships, while three others have played at the D2 or D3 level.  Coach Earnhardt has had many highlights throughout his coaching career, including the first state championship game in 2013 and upsetting Greensboro Day in the Final Four that year, but few compare to seeing his team beat Providence Day School to advance to the 2018 Final Four during his daughter Josie Earnhardt ‘18’s senior season.

Coach Slatten started his career as a Graduate Assistant at Tennessee Tech University in 1989 where he was in charge of player development, scouting, and strength and conditioning. While there he worked with future NBA draft picks Milos Babic of the Cleveland Cavaliers and John Best of the then New Jersey Nets. Coach Slatten coached 23 years as a head coach with a record of 512-234. He guided 4 different schools, Perry County, Cleveland, Culleoka, and Moore County that appeared in 13 district championship games, winning 11 district championships. They also appeared in 10 region championship games, winning 6. His teams reached the Sectional/Sweet Sixteen level 10 times and reaching the state tournament Elite Eight 5 times and the state final four 3 times. He led Perry County to the State tournament Elite Eight in 1994, 95, 96, 97. The 1995 team lead the state in scoring averaging 86.2 ppg. In 1996 his Perry County team finished a State Runner-up with a 30-3 record and in 1997 they finished 37-0, which included winning the State Championship. He led Cleveland to the 1999 Sub-state (Sweet 16) with a 22-10 record. His 2007 Culleoka team reached the State Tournament for the 1st time in school history advancing to the Final 4 with a 31-7 record. The 2008 Culleoka team also reached the Sectional/Sweet 16 round. His 2009 team finished 30-2 and lead the state in scoring defense at 36.1 ppg.

Bethel boys’ basketball program, Cal Boyd brings with him a wealth of experience and a long list of accolades. Boyd has spent 29 years working at private schools in the Metro Atlanta area. A local standout at nearby Campbell High School, Boyd helped lead his teams to two Region Championships and a State Championship. He was named All-State as a senior, finished as the all-time leading scorer in Campbell’s history, and upon graduation, his jersey was retired. Boyd went on to play four years at Wake Forest University where he played in all but two games during his four years.  He was a two-time captain and team MVP as a senior. He still holds the ACC record for the best all-time three-point percentage for a career. During his coaching career, he has coached at Walker, Westminster, Pace, and GAC. His teams have set records at each stop, including Region championships, GHSA tournament appearances, GHSA Final Four runs, and record-breaking win totals. In 2017, Boyd led the Mt. Bethel Eagles to a GICAA state championship, an accomplishment they repeated in 2018. Making the transition to GHSA in the 2018-2019 season, Mt. Bethel reached the Final Four and finished with a 24-8 record. All told, Boyd is closing in on 500 wins for his illustrious career. Boyd and his wife Kristi have been married for 26 years. Coach Durden is entering year twenty as head girl's coach of the Buford Lady Wolves. He is originally from Midville, GA and played basketball at Coastal Community College in Brunswick, GA., where he received an Associate Degree in Business. He then attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education. Durden is semi-retired and his daily duties include serving as an assistant athletic director for Buford High School.  Overall, Coach Durden is going into his 37th season as a head coach. This past year the Lady Wolves achieved a 26 and 4 record before being eliminated in the "Elite Eight" of the 7A state tournament. Last season, the Lady Wolves achieved a 27 and 5 record and advanced to the 7A “Final Four.”  Durden's Lady Wolves have played in ten of the past sixteen state championship games, while winning the state titles in 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2011, 2010 and 2009

Coach Kevin Kiernan is the Athletic Director at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CAH Kevin Kiernan, the all-time winningest girls' basketball coach in California history, will be stepping down as head coach at Mater Dei at the conclusion of the regional playoffs, He will continue as athletic director. He's finishing his 17th season at Mater Dei. He's won three state titles at Mater Dei, six Southern Section titles, six regional titles and 17 straight Trinity League titles. Overall, he's won six state titles, 12 section titles and has 960 career wins His total of 900 wins includes his stops at La Quinta and Troy high schools, and a combined collection of 12 CIF-SS titles, six state crowns and two national championships.

President of the GBCA and NHSBCA Coach Allen Whitehart just finished his seventh season at Milton High School with a career head coaching record of 384-122. This past season, Coach Whitehart led the Eagles to a Final Four Finish and a 20-11 record while qualifying for the state playoffs, his 17th time in 17 seasons as a head coach. Within the seven years as head coach at Milton, the 2020-2021 season was the high point. The Eagles won the 2021 GHSA 7A State Championship, was invited to Geico Nationals for the first time in school history, and finished the season ranked #6 in the nation. In recognition of this remarkable season, Coach Whitehart was chosen as the NHSCA Boys National High School Coach of the Year, Region Coach of the Year (Coaches and GACA), Georgia Class 7A Coach of the Year (Kyle Sandy, AJC, and GACA) and the Bobby Cremins Georgia Coach of the Year (Atlanta Tip-Off Club). Over his 17-year head coaching year career, Coach Whitehart's teams have accomplished the following: 7 Final Fours, 4 State Finals, 1 State Championship, 3 State Runner-up, 10 Region Championships, 1 Geico National High School Championship Invite, 4 Times Ranked Nationally (#6, #19, #21 and #34). Kimberly High School (KHS) is excited to announce Dave Lepisto as the next Head Coach of the girls varsity basketball team. Lepisto has served as assistant coach to the team for the last nine seasons.  "Dave is an excellent fit. His ability to build relationships is outstanding, and his communication skills, work ethic, and basketball knowledge are off the charts," said Athletic Director Ryan McGinnis. "He is an exceptional teacher of the game and life skills. We are excited for the next chapter of our Girls Basketball Program."  Lepisto holds a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and a master's degree in education from Marian University. He has been coaching high school basketball since 1994 and served as an assistant coach for Kimberly on the boys varsity team during the 2007-2008 season. Since 2013 Lepisto has served as an assistant coach for the Kimberly girls varsity team, and in that time, the Papermakers have made two state appearances, five sectional finals and two Fox Valley Association championships.      "Kimberly girls basketball is synonymous with success," said Lepisto. Doc Scheppler attended San Francisco State University and received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Physical Education, and a Single Subject Teaching Credential, Physical Education. As a youngster growing up, he developed an intense passion for sports. In high school, because of the positive influence of great coaches, he decided to teach and coach. After earning his degrees and credential in 1978, he began a career coaching sports at Burlingame High School and working at several athletic clubs designing fitness programs. Gene Durden:Overall, Coach Durden is going into his 36th season as a head coach. This past year the Lady Wolves achieved a 27 and 4 record before being eliminated in the "Final Four" of the 7A state tournament. Durden's Lady Wolves have played in ten of the past fifteen state championship games, while winning the state titles in 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2011, 2010 and 2009. The Lady Wolves were also state runners up in 2014 and 2012. This past season, Durden accomplished another milestone in his career by winning his 900th game on January 6th 2023.  This victory put Durden as the winningest girls basketball coach in the state of Georgia Coach Nichole Dixon For the second year in a row, Coach Dixon has been named by the Atlanta Tipoff Club as the 2020 Pinholster Coach of the Year for Classes 1A through 4A. She will be presented with an award – date uncertain due to the unscheduled time off. Coach Dixon – also for the second year in a row – led her Lady Bears to another Class A – Private state title. HI topped St. Francis 66-53 in the championship game back on March 4th in Macon, which put the cap on a 26-5 season and another region title to go with the Georgia crown Coach Tim Slater Tim Slater led the Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) girls basketball team to the school's first state title, a 32-1 record and No. 6 spot in the MaxPreps Top 25. For his efforts, Slater has been named the 2023-24 MaxPreps National Coach of the Year.
