Marlon is a 16 year old in a barrio outside of Leon, Nicaragua in stage 4 kidney failure. He has been hospitalized off and on for several days. Up until now, they have been able to treat his symptoms with medication, but we have learned this week that this young man's battle is dire. He must start dialysis IMMEDIATELY. The entire city of Leon has a total of four dialysis machines with a lengthy wait list to get access to treatment. He simply is out of time.
