Episode 168 - How Old is Old? – A Netballer’s Take on Aging

from Coached By Leanne Podcast · host Leanne Watson-Charles

In this episode I dive into a topic that’s been on my mind a lot lately: aging - what it means, how it feels, and why it definitely doesn’t have to slow you down. After running a poll on my stories asking, “How old is old?”, I was shocked to see that a few people actually chose 40. (Seriously?!) But the truth is, age is a feeling, not a number. I share my personal reflections on how I’m fitter, stronger and more determined now in my 40s than I ever was in my 20s—despite the occasional shock when I look in the mirror. I also talk about the desperation for more time that comes with aging and how it drives me to work even harder on my fitness, health and netball skills. Plus, I discuss why I’m so passionate about helping women stay in netball, proving that you can continue improving at any age.Whether you’re in your 30s, 40s, 50s, or beyond, this episode is a reminder that you’re not too old - you’re just getting started.
