With its members occupying virtually positions within the party, including the Chair, it expected its preferred candidate Michael Rectenwald to win the nomination for president. However, non-Mises Caucus member Chase Oliver emerged victorious from the convention.This was seen as a regression back to everything wrong with the party prior to 2022 and many prominent Libertarians have refused to support Oliver.
