Episode 184: Pretty Ltd

Today on the podcast, DJ and Dylan of Pretty Ltd will be making their return to talk about their brilliant new EP, 'By Name, By Nature', which was released last Thursday.Self-appointed Dublin “velourcore” band, Pretty Ltd's latest body of work is my favourite of their outputs so far, I absolutely adore every track on the EP. We'll be covering the EP track by track, talking about where the songs originated from, the themes the EP cover and the wild story of the origin behind 'Scumbag Mary'. We'll also be covering the recording process for this EP and the illustration that serves as the cover art.The drumming recording was done by Donal Bowen of Idle Discourse and the rest of the recording was done by Stephan Cannon, who both did a tremendous job on this EP. The fantastic cover art was created by Chris Craig of Vendetta Love. The band have their EP launch in Sin E this saturday alongside Ferals and Joe Maxi!Pretty Ltd on LinktreeHorrenda + Their Last Stop + Fear Gorta live at Sin ESacred Noose + Grave Sermon + Their Last Stop + Lymphoedema live at Sin E Hosted on Acast. Shut Up I Love It Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello Many years ago, Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello met in line for an improv show. They were young, dumb, and full of it. What followed were comedy shows so explicit, “genitalia” was practically a term of endearment.Fast forward 5 dogs, 6 cats, and way too many weird inside jokes later, Sasha and Joe are no longer young or dumb—but they’re still brimming with you-know-what. Here, they’ve teamed up to bring you a podcast where they interview a guest who passionately defends something universally hated, misunderstood, forgotten, overlooked, Mandela-effected, canceled—you name it. The key? They LOVE it. From toupees... to B-movies... to aliens, psychedelics, and the occasional surprise character, Sasha and Joe are here to spread love to the world that birthed them (but maybe should’ve used protection). So come and get that love because no one else will give it to you like we do.Also, don’t forget to check out the Patreon Bonus version of the show:https://www.patreon.com/c/ShutUpILoveItP Explicit
