Episode 189: Steam Has Crashed!

Sometimes a video game is so popular and hyped-up that it may cause the servers to crash: too many people trying to buy and too many players online at the same time. It’s frustrating, testing a player’s patience, taxing a computer’s CPU, and straining the Internet lines. The recent release of “Hollow Knight: Silksong” is proof of this Steam, one of the popular software distribution clients, has had its share of moments when their servers crashed. It’s not a bad thing; it just means their IT engineers and architects are working overtime. This week, in lieu of National Video Games Day, we’ll be playing tracks from video games that crashed Steam: a multiplayer co-op game between Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, a futuristic punk having dual personalities, and a destined monkey man seeking the relics of Sun Wukong. Following each track will be its cover or remix.
