Episode 19: Where's Donda!?!

from 280+ Podcast · host Los_Def

In my first ever Solo episode, I sound off about Kanye, TV Shows like All-American and The Chi, favorite new artists, the debate over CRT in schools and much more. I'll always get into some upcoming announcements for the podcast including promotions and giveaways.   Topics/Time stamps   (2:45) Building the Platform. I want the 280+ Podcast to be a hub for local artists by featuring their music on the show the same way other platforms like Million Dollars Worth of Game does it. Later I get into ways people can effectively myself and other creators. It's different when you're on this side (shares vs likes).   (7:28) TV Talk: All-American finale review: I know Season 3 just hit Netflix, but unlike most of y'all I was watching it week to week on the CW app when I didn't watch it live. Hear what I think about the end of this season and where the show is headed including a potential spinoff. SPOILER ALERT!   (15:45) TV Talk: The Chi (Not Finale Review):  This is a show I love despite the criticism it gets and I talk about character and plot development. We need more shows like The Chi. So funny story, I thought last week was the finale so when I recorded this I thought the season was over, but I found out there was actually one more episode haha, thank you Marajonni for helping me out there.   (19:51) Open Relationships: Men, I don't think we want these problems and the fundamental reason for double-standards when it comes to cheating. . .  (26:09) Music Talk: Kanye's Album Release Fumble and how his cult-like followers let him get away with anything. Also two of my favorite new artists Blxst and EST Gee and my reception of their latest work.   (38:00) Teaching Race in Schools vs CRT: Here I dive into the controversial topic of CRT or "Critical Race Theory" where I define the term (44:07)  with the help of Dr. Rashad Richey and explain the 'okie doke' and political theater taking place in the media as an excuse to erase black history out of public schools.(49:03) I also talk about the importance of teaching your children about race relations and how history isn't such a meaningless school subject after all.    (53:09) Sports: Milwaukee Bucks are the Champions and although I had the Suns winning, I didn't lose any money. Does this mark the end of the Super Team era, after this week in Free Agency we know the answer to that. The Bucks are not a Super Team       (61:45) Aaron Rodgers Saga and his Last Dance: Despite the media frenzy Rodgers is still a Packer and hopefully he can finish this year with a bang.    (66:48) Wrap-Up: Reflection of my first solo episode, special shoutout to fellow black content creators in my area.   #Kanye #CRT #TheChi #MilwaukeeBucks #OpenRelationships       Intro and Outro Music: "Landslide" by UncleRob: To Stream this song click this link below:   https://open.spotify.com/album/2O8u0nPlg09bEf9JN4VCNp?si=bb17luyCQuaIOo_gwVYgeQ&dl_branch=1    To see full video of Dr. Rashad Richey on his show IndisputableYoutube Video Clip Courtesty of TYT: https://youtu.be/ttLUHyT1Ijc
