Episode 2 Full Interview with Abed Mousli: Adapt, Survive, Thrive

from The Eclectic · host uriel karerwa

This is the extended version of the Eclectic Radio Play from CKXU 88.3fm. Here you'll find strictly interview material and exclusive content. I'd like to share with you the inspiring life of my dear friend Abed, he came to us all the way from Syria, having endured numerous unimaginable challenges. I think that's what makes him so amazing. Although he's way too humble to take any well-deserved attention and praise, I'd like to dedicate this entire show to the man of the hour. I'd also like to effectively bring light to the many lives out there still living in less than favorable circumstances and urge listeners to take action (even minor steps) to help victims of political (or any other type of) oppression. Listen to his amazing story, and how he's overcome many obstacles to be here in Lethbridge, gracing us with his amazing presence and continuing to impact the community. We talk about our natural ability to adapt to extreme environments when called to do so.  We also talk about his former catering business Jeeran 55.  This is a humble man, deserving so much more praise for his determined efforts to pursue his dreams of attaining higher education, at whatever cost. Thank you, Abed, for sharing your story. MUSIC Easy Steps by Bailey Kate (Time Stamp 01:06:20) from her Debut EP: Electric Moments she's a Talented Lethbridge musician and also my next guest. In the Radio play version, we highlighted the following song selections from Abed 1. Sometimes on a Sunday - The Glorious Sons 2. I lived - Sons of Serendip
