Episode 2 - Sometimes It Gets Lonely

from The God Pulse · host Polello Mowela

The truth of the matter is that even as children of God, we experience the full range of human emotions just like everyone else, and one of those emotions are loneliness. If we know anything about loneliness, it's that it can feel quite agonizing and leave us in despair, convincing us that it is unlikely to change.  If we know anything about God, however, it's that there isn't a place too far or too deep in our despair that His love and His grace can't rescue us from. (Psalms 139:8; Romans 8:38-39) And so even as we walk through the challenges of everyday life, inviting God to walk the journey out with us, fellowshipping with His Holy Spirit and taking up Christ's invitation of true friendship with us makes the journey worth going on.  Even when we are scared, and unsure of what lies ahead and loneliness has wrapped itself around us like a blanket, knowing that at every point God is holding His hand out to us to do this life thing with us, will always give us the assurity we need to know that we'll make it through. Trust God through it. Through the uncomfortable emotions and painful circumstances. Whatever you are expecting Him for, trust Him on it. Let Him walk it out with You. He's got you. Listen to Kirk Franklin's Wanna Be Happy? right here and praise even through the uncertainty.
