S2: Episode 6 - Perseverance, Breakthroughs and Navigating Change with Slindokuhle Mtolo

Despite our total devotion and dedication to living a life that glorifies God and serving Him with every facet of our lives, we are not exempt from facing challenges, experiencing uncertainty and losing hope from time to time during our journey. There are times when absolutely nothing makes sense and life still makes a daily demand on our minds, our energy and our efforts. So, how do we navigate seasons of change and uncertainty? How do we show up when we are left bruised and battered by the battles we face privately and how do we maintain a position of surrender to God even when we don't understand? In this episode, I speak to wife, mother and woman in ministry, Slindokuhle Mtolo about persevering in the midst of trials, trusting God even when it hurts and being a season where she is finally able to make sense of her journey and how God is calling her to manoeuvre it.  She reminds us live life authentically and with transparency on where we are, to make use of and lean on the support of the community of people we have in our lives during times of difficulty and to "trust the God of the process" on our individual journeys. She also emphasizes that we are to turn to God even in our darkest hour because He is worth waiting on and that He will fulfil every promise He has made to us in due season!  Slindo shares her go-to song of Praise that encourages her in the Lord, Mbonge by We Will Worship [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUMetP_dca0]. We hope that this song encourages you and helps to build up your faith in the Lord through whatever circumstances you may be facing. Thank you for tuning into the episode. S2: Episode 5 - Operating Outside of Your Comfort Zone

Life has a tendency of intrusively jostling us this and that way and interrupting whatever sense of tranquillity that we’ve been able to create and maintain in our lives. Lately I’ve realized, however, that life is designed to interrupt; and I’d even take it a beat further to say that the constant disturbances we encounter are a big part of what life is about and learning how to maintain stability within ourselves through the Peace of God, amidst the turbulences of this reality, is a not only necessary to cope through the hustle and bustle of daily life but could be the very definer of the quality of the lives we live. We have not been created to merely exist within the bubble of our own comfort, but we are called to live a life worthy of the call that God has placed upon us. To make a great impact in the earth, to lead purpose-driven lives and to fulfil the great commission; making disciples of all nations. Outside of our comfort zone is where real life is taking place. Where ideas form, creativity takes shape, knowledge and wisdom are established, growth happens and finally stepping into who we are with every passing season and walking in the evolution of ourselves becomes a reality. It is scary to open and expose oneself to the unexpected and spontaneous whirlwind that we call life, but it is beautiful and truly humbling to allow ourselves to live deeply and in the genuineness of who we are and giving our roots permission to spread outside of ourselves So, we have one of two choices; we can either choose to be the kinds of people who close themselves up in fear of being seen and noticed, or we can be the kinds of folks who boldly step out into the world with the drive to not only show up as ourselves, but to represent Christ in every sphere and experience living a life of glorious purpose and the abundant blessings of God that come with it. Isaac Frere (Opus Frere) Quote: https://www.instagram.com/reel/ChMsAE-gFJI/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Thank you for tuning into the episode. I hope it makes a real impact in your life. S2: Episode 4 - The Journey Makes The Destination | Promise Series

When we step into a season where what we once believed God for is assured to us, we need to pay attention to our posture during the journey of being processed and equipped to handle the promise. We also need to begin understanding that the destination where we finally step into the promise is not a place that we arrive to, but a constant state of being. The process leading up to the promise is a vital part of the promise and how we respond to this process will determine whether we live in the fulfilment of what God said or whether we forfeit the promise. So we can either embrace the process for the promise or let it go because we weren’t willing to stay the course. As you think about what God has promised to you and as you find yourself on this journey of being stretched and moulded in order for your life to have the capacity to hold what God has promised, understand that your response- your posture, during this journey will determine how you will experience the promise. How you will arrive to it, if ever you do arrive. And remember, even as you experience the manifestation of what you believed God for, that He is the source of it and that He is the only one who has the power to give. If He tests you just like how He tested Abraham, don’t be afraid to offer the promise back to Him as a sacrifice and a sign of your surrender and obedience. You can trust Him, not only with the things that come from His hand, but with how He will equip you to properly nurture the promise. I hope that you found this episode beneficial and that it makes a real difference in your life. I love you, and most importantly, GOD LOVES YOU! __________________________ SCRIPTURES: Abram believed God’s promise to him. (Genesis 15:1-6) Warning against unbelief. S2: Episode 2 - Living a Life Marked by Faithfulness

In as much as we are all called to work, the work that we dedicate our lives to may be fruitless if do not show up faithfully. Being faithful means that we carry ourselves with high integrity and that we are obedient to the standard in which we carry out the assignments which God has prepared for us. Being faithful is working with diligence, showing up with humility and not compromising the call upon our lives, even if that costs us having to losing the things and people that were once important to us.   In order to be faithful to God, we must be willing to sift out and weed out all the little and perhaps bigger parts of our lives that get in the way of our relationship with Christ. It is getting comfortable with identifying the things in which we have made idols out of and returning to God with a repentant and genuine heart and starting over with Him.   We hope that this message encourages you to desire to walk faithfully with God, and that you are not intimidated by the sacrifice, obedience, submissiveness and dedication that are found on the other side of faithfulness and that your heart lives to please the Lord in every pursue of your life.   We hope that you found this episode beneficial and that it makes a real difference in your life. S2: Episode 1 - A Call To Work

Regardless of the backgrounds we come from, our experience and expertise, the availability of resources or lack thereof, our circumstances, our roles and positions, our positions in our faith journey or whether or not we know certain people, as children of God we are called to do the work of the Kingdom of God. In our respective carer fields, communities, families and social groups, all of us are tasked with work wherever God places us. The work which we are required to do may not look the same for everyone, but according to our level of faith, diligence and obedience, God helps us to carry out every assignment placed on our lives for His glory. So as we go into this season, as we’ve firmly made our way into a new year, take a moment to be still and listen to where God is calling you and what He is calling you to do. Know that whatever that is required of you will not come out of you by your own wisdom and strength, but that of the Lord because you do not go in your own capacity but that of Christ Jesus. Trust Him. No that there is provision in assignment. Lean on Him to get you there, and may your heal be at peace as you rest in the awareness that it is an honour and a blessed earned to us by faith that we can be servants of the most high God. Episode 21 - Repetitive Sin: Falling and Rising Up Again [End of Season One]

As Believers, we are not immune to falling into and contributing to cycles of destruction in our lives. We, too, can find ourselves having drifted away from the safety of the Father and wrapped up in cultivating a life outside of His leadership and Lordship. Repetitive sin is a reality known to most and can be one of those struggles in life that can feel debilitating and almost impossible to escape. It can leave us in a state of hopelessness and condemn us to the point of feeling as though we are too stained to present ourselves to God. Nothing has ever been a bigger lie. God loves us enough to see our messiness and still embrace us. God wants to help us through the cycles, and more so, discover the roots of the repetitive sin that keeps emerging on our paths and keeps us bound to our own passions. In this episode, we take a look at how even though we stumble, God helps us to rise up with even more determination and He gives us insight and wisdom on the things to ought to pursue in order to find our feet again. Be encouraged that no matter how deep within the cycle you may find yourself, and no matter how inescapable it may feel, there is hope in Christ Jesus and you will make it out. We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Episode 20 - Are We Willing Vessels?

Understanding that we, as believers, are the vessels of God is one of the first steps we take in fully embracing servant hood as part of our identity in Christ. We come to a place in acknowledging that we were created for the good works that God has prepared for us beforehand and that He desires to be in relationship with us and flow through us in order to fulfill His purpose on the earth. The only question that rises with regards to allowing God to flow unrestricted in the earth through us is whether we are willing vessels? Do we get in God’s way or do we allow Him to use us in order to fulfill His plans and purpose for His people? Are we willing to be used even when our circumstances are not convenient and we are pushed outside of our comfort zones? Are we willing to be obedient and submissive to God’s will in order that He may reveal His glory to His people? Do we allow ourselves to be malleable in the hands of the Potter? In this episode, join the conversation as our nature as God’s vessels is studied and we have the opportunity see our standing with God mirrored through our willingness to be and do all that He has called us to be and do. When we run into unexpected circumstances and watch as our lives take a path that we had not envisioned for ourselves, we may believe that we are defined by the new path we find ourselves on. Episode 18 - Worth: Comparison and the Fruits That We Bear From It

Comparison is known widely to be the thief of joy. The habit of comparing ourselves is a reality known to man since human beings came into being. Like when Eve was deceived into eating the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden because she desired to have the knowledge of good and evil and be like God. Or, like when Cain murdered his brother, Abel, in the fields because he was envious of how pleased God was with his brother’s offering as opposed to his own. When we compare ourselves to other people in order to gauge whether we are making enough progress we rob ourselves of the opportunity to not only learn from but enjoy the journey of becoming better versions of ourselves. Not only that, but comparison has the ability to make us blind to all that God has bestowed upon us and all that He has done and is doing in our lives because it keeps us occupied with what is happening in the lives of others. This creates in us a heart posture of ingratitude and breeds more fruit such as jealousy, envy, anger, impatience, faithlessness, hopelessness, insecurity and so much more. In this episode, join the conversation of how comparison steals so much from us and how we can tear away from that toxic normality by recognizing our own greatness and positioning ourselves to help others recognize their own. Here’s a song for you to enjoy by Isla Vista and Mark Barlow titled Captured [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yykfw9eNA5s]. Episode 17 - Worth: Redefining Worth Formed Within Academia and Living With Albinism - Lerato Kekana

Some of the things that we use to define ourselves and measure our worth by are not things that are bad in of themselves. In fact, some of the things we use are recognized positively by society, culture and religion and are very commendable. This is the reason we may hardly find ourselves assessing ourselves internally when we gain a sense of worth within our accolades, possessions, wealth and status because the things we measure this sense of worth by are things that most people are in pursuit of; one way or the other. The issue begins when we only see our value when it is attached to these things, which are temporal, perishing and can be taken away at any given moment. When we look at our reflections, do we see all that we have achieved in the world, all that we can possibly achieve and see ourselves through that thing? How often do we look at ourselves and feel content in knowing that our worth – our REAL worth, is one that has been bestowed upon us by an eternal King and cannot be taken away? How often do we carry a deep knowing within ourselves that we do not need to qualify ourselves according to the world’s standards because God has already qualified us and placed purpose upon our lives? In this episode, I speak to Lerato Kekana about how her identity, value and worth were all deeply rooted in academia, and how when that was taken away from her, she found herself feeling short of divine purpose. She also shares on living with Albinism and how she has never allowed the condition to make her believe any of the stereotypes that society so harshly slams on those who have the same condition. She is also passionate and determined about educating people about Albinism and how to generally support anyone who may have to live with any kind of condition. Episode 16 - Worth: Busyness and The Delusion of Worth - Mahlatsi Makgatho

The everyday hustle and bustle of our lives has the potential to masquerade itself as something that determines our worth because of the gratification we find in it. Sometimes when we run fast enough we can easily find ourselves too occupied and distracted by our busyness that we neglect ourselves in the process of wanting to elevate ourselves financially, economically, socially and academically. We can find ourselves losing touch with our inner selves. When the world came to a halt due to the Coronavirus and the lockdowns that were instituted globally, a lot of us were forced to stop dead in our tracks to face ourselves and introduce ourselves to ourselves anew. We found ourselves having to do the hard work of tending to our emotions which we had been neglected for so long, having to inspect our hearts and look into our minds. A lot of us found that we were bruised and battered by the pressure of the fast paced lives that we live and had to reexamine the lens at which we chose to see ourselves; our value, our worth. Join me in this episode as I have a conversation with my friend and sister, Mahlatsi Makgatho, as she brings us into her own journey of rediscovering self and choosing to forfeit the idea of worth that the world gives to fully recognize and step into her God-given worth. Episode 15 - Reflecting on the Journey: Where Are We?

Reflecting on our growth from the beginning of our journey together, to the point at which we are and the hope we have for the journey ahead is something that I not only deem necessary, but also absolutely vital. Much like observing our lives as children of God, we ought to look at whether they do indeed portray the faith that we so confidently profess or whether we live lives contrary to the call that is upon our lives. Let us go on this journey together to closely examine our lives from the beginning of this year and do some stock taking. Episode 14 - Stay Awake!

I believe that we are a people – a generation, distracted. Distracted by tradition, culture, religion, society and its pressures and expectations, attaining possessions, building wealth, the list is endless. We’re distracted by the pleasures of this world so much so that we have a tendency of recognizing it as the only solid reality there is. We are so focused on thriving in this world that we often neglect the reality of Christ Jesus and that this life is really not about us, but about God and giving Him glory through the way in which we conduct our lives. We tend to live our lives as though the return of Christ Jesus is something out of a fictional story book and that it is not something we need to concern ourselves with. But rest assured folks; Jesus Christ is indeed coming back. This world and the pleasures therein are temporal and every effort focused solely on this world is exercised in vain. The acknowledgement of this does not mean that we are to stop enjoying our lives or live in hopelessness or in constant fear, but it should drive us to us to focus every effort of every area of our lives to bringing God glory and magnifying His kingdom. It should drive us to live right, according to God’s will – according to His word. In order that the desires we have to build wealth, obtain influence and attain possessions are focused on driving the kingdom of God forward first, before it is ever about our own pleasures and comfort. This message serves as a reminder – to both you and I. Jesus Christ is coming back, and I hope that we prepare ourselves so as to find ourselves ready when that day finally arrives. We hope that you found this episode beneficial and that it makes a real difference in your life. We love you, and most importantly, GOD LOVES YOU! __________________________ SCRIPTURES: Jesus Christ is coming back. (Mark 13:3-37) The Day of the Lord. Episode 13 - Content Aware

Content plays a big role in society and our modern culture due to the rapid development and expansion of the internet, how we engage on it and how it is integrated in our everyday lives. We also still engage with content through traditional media, be that may, a large portion of the content we consume is found online. The consumption of content has never been easier because we are able to access all kinds of things and gain information on anything at the click of a button thanks to smart devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and digital music players. Because of this, making an effort towards filtering the content that we are exposed to on a daily basis and being intentional about what we choose to feed our minds has never been more crucial. When we are negligent and do not develop some form of discipline when it comes to our content intake, anything can occupy our minds, and repeated exposure will not only be received by our conscious minds, but it will also influence our subconscious mind which will have an impact on the way in which we behave as well shape our world view. If we allow today’s culture to dictate how we ought to live our lives and let it act as our moral compass, we will always welcome things that appease the flesh but oppress the spirit. It is imperative that we recognize that even when it comes to how we vet whether content in today’s culture is right or wrong, that we hold it up against the word of God in order to discern well. God’s word is a timeless truth, transcending culture, tradition, religion and relational matters. It has, and will always be the highest authority regardless of the era in which we exist and it’s normality. Let us become mindful about the kind of content we feed our minds and be intentional about establishing good, healthy and necessary boundaries when it comes to content consumption. Episode 12 - As We Think, So Are We

Everyone is familiar with the proverb, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”, found in Proverbs 23:7. But how often do we truly look at our lives, our achievements and failures alike, our personalities, our habits, character traits, friendships, romantic and professional relationships and trace them back to the kind of mind that we carry. If we are a direct reflection of the kind of mindset that we have, then we ought to ask ourselves what we are actually thinking and what we regularly meditate on when we take a look at the fruits of our thoughts in our lives. We ought to also get into the habit of questioning the thoughts that regularly frequent our minds and the source of those thoughts. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 makes us aware of the ongoing spiritual battle that also takes place in our minds, and how important it is to develop discipline when it comes to our minds. How we must make it a point to counter every thought that is not of God with the word of God. Every idea we have of ourselves, of each other, of the world and of God must be vetted by what the word of God says to qualify it as a good and constructive thought. Our thoughts carry power because everything begins as a thought before it ever manifests in the physical. Being intentional about what we feed our minds is of utmost importance because if we leave things to chance, we can easily begin to become complacent and allow all kinds of vicious, damaging and evil thoughts to inhabit our minds for the long run. Let us be intentional about the kinds of thoughts we permit in our minds, and be deliberate in allowing God to help us establish solid positive mindsets. Episode 11 - Gratitude and Pain Can Co-Exist: The Interlude

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thess. 5:18 Gratitude: The quality of being thankful - readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Gratitude is one of our greatest powers in this life. It trains our minds and transforms our hearts to see the silver lining in a stormy season. It pulls us up and gives us strength to commit to the journey ahead even when we’ve been buried by life’s pains, traumas, pressures, betrayals and disappointments. Gratitude is the counter for every single thing that life can throw at us. God gives us the opportunity to identify what we can be grateful for in the midst of our pain because though gratitude may not change the situation, it helps to change our outlook on life. It makes us realize that there is so much that we ought to be thankful to God for. How he constantly saves us from the chaos that we create. How He surrounds us with people who will represent Him and help pick up the pieces of our broken lives. How He will still gift us the spirit of resilience and war on our behalf when we are surrounded on every side. So many trials, so many triumphs, and every one of them are an opportunity to raise our hearts to God in gratitude. Despite the challenges, we can still walk in sheer thankfulness for all the little, seemingly mundane things, and all the big things, too. I know that this might sound super cheesy, but gratitude truly does make us realize how deeply loved and treasured we are by a King who is unaffected by our circumstances, but still helps us through them because He cares for us. Be encouraged in knowing that there is one thing that you can always give thanks to God for, no matter how dark, how cold nor how deep your midnight hour may be. Let your every breath flow with thanksgiving. Let your heart beat with gratitude. Know that you can sit in the pit of your pain and still have a reason to be grateful. Episode 10 - The Cost of Distrust

It’s easy to fall into the kind of thinking that makes us believe that our tendency of not having trust for God is inconsequential. That we can easily bounce in and out of seasons of not relying on God for everything that happens in our lives, big or small, and not become people who gradually believe that they can be self-sufficient. The story of Asa, the king of Judah at first paints the picture of a man who was good in the sight of the Lord, honoured God and relied on Him. As the story continues though, and as he nears the end of his life, we recognize a change in his heart towards God. He begins to rely on his own wisdom, connections, to bring about results he should have relied on God for. This seems to bring about a change in the kind of man we were introduced to in the beginning of 2 Chronicles chapter 14. No longer does he appear to be this man who was good in the eyes of the Lord, he has now become someone who oppresses the people he once served. Even in his days of desperation where his health is concerned, he abandoned the Lord his God and relied on physicians. He dies having abandoned his trust in God. He died as a man different from the one God had called him to be. It begs the question of how often we easily rely on our own wisdom, abilities, connections and experiences and put them in the place of God. How we tend to become high on the idea of being the gods of our own lives. How these things change us, tear away at our essence and make us look different from the people that God intended for us to be. The story of Asa, the king of Judah provides us with a great opportunity to examine our own lives. To realize that though it is human nature to tend to want to rely on the tangible, relying on God will always be the better option. May we be comfortable with being people who rely fully on God even when it seems nonsensical, easy and simple. We were not created to function independent of God. We were made to live lives that portray total dependence on the master. I hope that you feel encouraged to be that person today. Episode 9 - Who Do You Want To Be?

When it comes to the people that we are, our different character traits, our personalities, our mindset and perceptions of life, we tend to overlook the fact that though the people that we currently are come mostly as a result of the different things, people and environments that we have been exposed to, we also have the power to make a decision on the kinds of people that we will be based on the everyday choices that we make. More so, when we walk in Christ we are even encouraged to examine ourselves and submit our thoughts, ideals, opinions, beliefs, struggles, issues, addictions, victories, everything – to God. Why? So that He may orchestrate an honest work inside of us of renewing our minds, reshaping our attitudes and reconstructing our hearts in order to reestablish us in Him and thus making us better people – people who walk in the manifestation of who God called us to be. We all need change at some point in our lives. We all need growth at every point of our lives, regardless of our age, gender, race or ethnic and cultural background. The gap between who we are and who we can become is bridged by Jesus Christ. The distance between those two factors is not just a matter of our hard work, our determination nor our courage, it is grace. Only grace. Realize that you are God’s handiwork and that you are constantly a ‘work in progress’. Submit to God’s methods to make you the ‘you’ that He intended and created you to be. Episode 8 - Pursuing God and Healing on the Journey Through Lust - Lein Nkosi (Part 2)

Sexual brokenness plays a big role in how we view and perceive the world around us. Whether it is the result of being exposed to images in mass media or in our personal environment, or being wrongfully exposed to sex in and of itself, it tends to influence our picture of what the world is, and even worse, the kinds of people we ourselves ought to be. In this episode, join me as a have a conversation with Lein Manqoba Nkosi about his journey through lust and his journey towards healing in God. When we are wrongfully exposed to sex and explicit content in a forceful manner, it is important to note that it is not our fault. That there is healing that God makes available to us to overcome the pain and the trauma we have to deal with. And even when we willingly and naively offer ourselves to it outside of marriage, God is still merciful to help us through the damage that we brought upon ourselves. God is there for us throughout this journey of sexual brokenness, and He is patient and merciful to help us out of it so that we can experience the joy and peace in Him that He has made available to us. Episode 7 - Young, Engaged and Navigating Sexual Perceptions - Lerato and Lungelo (Part 2)

When we take a step back and analyze our sexual sin, we often realize that its seeds were planted in our lives too early for us to even recognize what they were, or even realize that we were victims in an ongoing war for our souls. What are some of the things that have shaped your perceptions of sex? And where do you see God in all of it? In this episode I have a conversation with Lerato Kekana and her fiancé, Lungelo Kunene, about the things that shaped their perceptions on sex while they were growing up and how those things contributed to how they currently view sex, first as young Christians and secondly as a young engaged couple. We briefly explore sexual brokenness - which refers the result of any and all sexual activity practiced outside of the covenant of marriage, as well as what it may be that God is protecting us from in the command to abstain until marriage. Episode 6 - Lust: The Struggle Is Real (Part 2)

One thing I'm learning about lust that I could not see all these years is that though it may be the result of being exposed to a perverted version of something that God created for our good, such as pornography, and though it bears fruit of fornication and sexual immorality as it matures, lust, as it grows inside of us, is usually a reflection of a deep lack in our lives. Not only that, but lust usually sits in the place of God who is the only one able to meet our soul's deepest needs. By the grace of God I am learning that the roots of lust, when lust is a recurring issue, usually go deep. When it finally manifests itself as sexual sin, we ought to ask ourselves what the sexual sin is feeding inside of us. What wounds is it covering? What traumas are causing us to lean on it? What does it mask itself as in our lives? Affection that we lack at home? Affirmation we needed from our mothers and fathers as children? Acceptance that we crave from our peers? What does it represent? An unwillingness to trust God wholeheartedly? Think on it. Lust wears many different faces for those of us who have encountered us, and it affects us differently too. But its fruits are the same. This isn't something easy to speak about, and it may be a sore area, but if you resonate with what I speak on in this episode, I urge you to take some time to analyse your life. If you have struggled with lust, it may just represent a deeper issue that you need to hand over to God. And by so doing, you release the burden off of yourself and allow God to help you. You can trust Him with this :) . He is faithful to help you though. I like to remind myself of this by listening to Maverick City's Hymn Medley [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwYD1_3FdZI]. Do check it out, I think you'll really like it. __________________________ SCRIPTURES: Our God is Omniscient (All-Knowing), Omnipresent (Present-Everywhere) and Omnipotent (All-Powerful). Episode 4 - Grief: Dealing With The Loss of Both Parents - Lungelo Kunene

The loss of a loved one will never be easy. Regardless of our age or where we are in life, we all need to embark on the journey of grief at some point in our lives in order to properly process the losses that we have experienced. Lungelo Kunene shares his story about how he lost his mother and father at a young age and how he had to quickly learn to deal with those losses as his circumstances at the time did not really give him the opportunity to spend time grieving in the way that he needed to.  He also shares on how getting to know Christ Jesus and having a relationship with Him made it possible for him to deal with the loss of his parents as well as see God's plan and goodness amidst the pain and confusion later on in his life. Lungelo shares two of his go-to praise and worship songs that encourage him in the Lord; Lomhlengi Ungu Bani Na by Ntokozo Bambo [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogfUDGxU680] and Joyous Celebration's Namhla Nkosi [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09ZiUN2M1hQ]. Episode 3 - Grief: Losing Mom (Part 2)

Grief. However way we try to downplay or underrate it in order to make it appear as a seamless process in attempts to avoid the discomfort that comes with dealing with it, it must still be dealt with. Grief is one of those things in life that you quickly come to learn has no shortcuts. My story of loss and grief is nothing new under the sun, but that doesn’t necessarily make it easier. It’s funny how we all know and understand that death is a part of life, but when it comes into your tent, it feels invasive, abnormal and even unnatural. In that moment you are challenged by the reality that no one, let alone you, will be exempted from the struggles and difficulties of everyday life. But even so, we don’t go through the pits of life alone. The King of the universe, The GREAT I AM, Abba, our Father… GOD - is with us right in that deep dark place making a way through for us with His wonderful light. He is always making a way through for us. Trust Him and allow Him to be there for you through whatever grief that you may be facing. Let Him be your Comforter and your Councilor through this time, and witness the miracle of simply making it through… day by day… because of Him. If you would like to find out more about grief, what it is and the different stages thereof detailed in the Kübler-Ross Model, click on the link right here à [https://www.psycom.net/depression.central.grief.html]. One of my favourite songs that I play when I’m in that deep dark place of grief and I feel alone is Psalm 23 by People & Songs ft. Josh Sherman and it really of lifts me up to a place of hope and faith that indeed I will make it through. If you don’t already know it, give it a listen right here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OlMGnPUAdw]. And if you do, jam it again! It’s a great song. (1st Thessalonians 4:13-18) Be still and know that He is God. (Psalms 46:19) We do not depart from the ways in which we have been raised. Episode 2 - Sometimes It Gets Lonely

The truth of the matter is that even as children of God, we experience the full range of human emotions just like everyone else, and one of those emotions are loneliness. If we know anything about loneliness, it's that it can feel quite agonizing and leave us in despair, convincing us that it is unlikely to change.  If we know anything about God, however, it's that there isn't a place too far or too deep in our despair that His love and His grace can't rescue us from. (Psalms 139:8; Romans 8:38-39) And so even as we walk through the challenges of everyday life, inviting God to walk the journey out with us, fellowshipping with His Holy Spirit and taking up Christ's invitation of true friendship with us makes the journey worth going on.  Even when we are scared, and unsure of what lies ahead and loneliness has wrapped itself around us like a blanket, knowing that at every point God is holding His hand out to us to do this life thing with us, will always give us the assurity we need to know that we'll make it through. Trust God through it. Through the uncomfortable emotions and painful circumstances. Whatever you are expecting Him for, trust Him on it. Let Him walk it out with You. He's got you. Listen to Kirk Franklin's Wanna Be Happy? right here and praise even through the uncertainty. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ci-0k9GojM4]  __________________________ SCRIPTURES: Seek first the Kingdom of God. (Matthew 6:33) The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise. (2 Peter 3:9) God heals our broken hearts. (Psalms 147:3) God provides a way out of temptation. (1 Corinthians 10:13) Cast your anxieties unto the Lord. (1 Peter 5:7) The Holy Spirit is our Helper (our Councillor, Standby, Comforter, Strengthener, Advocate, Intercessor). (John 14:26-27 AMP) God has made everything beautiful in its own time. Episode 1 - Identity Crisis

We live in a world where it's normal for us to define ourselves according to the titles that we're given, the roles we assume in society, the gifts and talents that we have and even the pain and traumas that we have endured. We base our identity in things that are naturally subject to change because they were not designed to to stand the test of time. In Matthew 24:35, Jesus says that Heaven and Earth will all pass away, but His word will never pass away. His word is the only constant. The only thing that will stand even when Heaven and Earth pass away - it is the only thing that will ever stand the test of time. God so loves and treasures us that He lets us know exactly who we are throughout His word, which is fitting because the Creator is the only one who truly knows His creation. Today I implore you to allow what it is God has to say about who you are, and let that be the solid foundation on which you base your life on. Enjoy this amazing praise and worship song by Jonathan David and Melissa Helser - No Longer Slaves [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8TkUMJtK5k]  "I'm no longer a slave of fear, I am a child of God!" I love you and most importantly, God loves you. Have a blessed week ahead and enjoy! __________________________ SCRIPTURES: God is the Rock of Ages. (Isaiah 26:4) God never changes. (Hebrews 13:8) God is not a man that He should lie. (Numbers 23:19) We are wonderfully and fearfully made. (Psalms 139:14) God prepared a destiny for us before we were born. (Psalms 139:16) We have been created in the image of God. (Genesis 1:27) We are more than conquerors. (Romans 8:37) We have been called into His wonderful purpose.
