Jan Azar is the head girls basketball coach, Assistant AD and Math teacher at Wesleyan School in Norcross, Ga. She was the first head coach in school history in 1997. She has won 13 GHSA Single A/AA Girls State Basketball Championships. Her teams have competed in 16 of the last 18 GHSA girls state championship games. Overall career record of 461-96. 13 Regular season region championships. 9 regional tournament championships. From 2000-2007 she had 83 consecutive region wins. She has coached 32 players who played and are now playing in college basketball. Has coached some All-American players like Mikayla Coombs (UCONN) and Anne Marie Armstrong (UGA) and Nikki Luckhurst (Tulane University). Has coached 11 players who have reached the 1,000 point club in school history and two players with over 2,000 career points.
