Episode 208: Runner

Today on the podcast I have Ryan and Jonny of the Runner!Hailing from the vibrant streets of Dublin, Runner is a dynamic four-piece that blends nostalgia rock with the raw edge of indie grunge. Drawing inspiration from the iconic sounds of the ’70s—think the intricate compositions of Rush and the atmospheric depth of Pink Floyd—alongside the gritty authenticity of ’90s grunge legends like Nirvana and Radiohead, their music evokes a sense of both longing and rebellion.I'll be chatting with the lads about the their musical influences, how the band formed, their two singles, 'Distance' and 'View', their upcoming shows in New York as part of the New Colossus festival and everything the band has in store for 2026.They have also been announced as part of Whelan's Ones to Watch this year so make sure to grab a ticket to start your new year off the best way possible!Runner WebsiteRunner on Linktree Hosted on Acast.
