Episode 21: Liberation

from Soul Medicine Hosted by Dana Damara

What does it mean to be liberated from the past? From your patterns? From thoughts? From outdated paradigms and expectations that you have for yourself? How does it feel when something that used to trigger you, rolls off your back or passes you by completely, without you even noticing? Liberating perhaps? Yes, liberating. I recorded this one on Thanksgiving Day around 4:00pm. My lovely daughters go and visit their father every single year for this holiday. The first few years I would get so sad. Being alone used to be a challenging thing for me. It meant failure. It meant unable to be in relationship. It meant so many things according to societal standards. Now I know it means quiet time. Time for Self (with a capital S). And time to truly go inward even if it IS a holiday. I liberated myself years ago from the expectations that I placed on my own self, and redefined what these holidays mean, and what being alone truly does for me. What are some patterns YOU experience that no longer serve you? What are some expectations that you have of yourself that are no longer necessary? Listen to me talk about my thoughts on L I B E R A T I O N. Find me on Instagram and Facebook at @danadamaraevolution and at my website www.danadamara.com
