Episode 23. Killed By A Clown: The Case of Marlene Warren
from Cafecito & Crime
Espooky Season Continues! On Memorial Day weekend of 1990, Marlene Warren was at home hoping to enjoy the holiday just like everyone else. When her doorbell rang right before 11 am, she did not expect a clown to be standing at her front door holding flowers and balloons, but that was not the only thing the clown was holding. After handing Marlene the flowers and balloons, the clown pulls out a gun and shoots Marlene in the face. When the police start investigating the case, they cannot find anyone who would want to hurt Marlene, but as they continue to dig, pieces of a much bigger puzzle start to come together. It would take 27 years for an arrest to finally be made in Marlene's murder, but there's more to the story on why it took that long.
