Episode 239: Coach Jeff Buffetta (Head Girls/Boys Basketball Coach at Mountain Iron-Buhl HS) in Mountain Iron, MN ("Summer Development Program")

Jeff graduated high school from Mt.Iron-Buhl in 1994 He has a degree in Elementary Education and coaching from St. Cloud State University (Graduated in 1998) Has a masters degree in education He's been a head coach for 23 years: Head Girls Basketball for 2 years at McGregor High School in Minnesota 21 years as head coach in Mt.Iron-Buhl High School (The past two years he has been the coach of both the girls and boys teams) Overall Record: 520-171 498-147 girls basketball and 22-24 boys record His girls teams have been to state 10 times in the past 11 years. He has taken runner up twice, 3rd place twice, 4th place once - and were semi finalists this past season. There was no 3rd place game due to COVID. His team is in the Arrowhead Conference - where they have been conference champions 9 times. He's been named section coach of the year 6 times and Class A State Coach of the Year once. He also organized and run a spring boys AAU program for 21 years up until he took over the boys program two years ago.
